I’ve been waiting all day too, and now I’m getting frustrated. I still think there’s a fair chance we’ll get the results in the next forty-five minutes, but it would be nice to just know for sure when they’re coming!

@QueenJenna I applied to 12 schools, 2 of them gave me a definitive date and time. It can’t be that fucking hard. I find it hard to believe that they havent made all of the decisions. Honestly the decisions could be next week, but at least tell us a time. IDK why so few schools do.

Exactly. It’s just not nice to the students–our entire futures are riding on these decisions, but the colleges can’t even figure out how to make the process semi-bearable? I’m not hating just on WashU here, because I love the university to pieces and have since forever, but I’m definitely very frustrated right now at ALL the schools who make us play the waiting game.

Which is why no one got package notifications in the morning! I see no reason why they would end their policy of sending packages the morning of the day when they are going to release admission decisions electronically just because some students on college confidential found out and used that to deduce their decisions earlier. Even if the students know a package is coming, that doesn’t mean they found out their decision since they have no knowledge of the contents of the package.
It’s 6:30 pm EST now. No decisions yet. It’s not today, which was proven by the phone calls made to the admissions office. Maybe it’s gonna be Monday. Maybe Tuesday. Maybe Wednesday. Maybe 1st April. Some said it would be yesterday, some said today, some said Monday, some said there would be package notification, some said there won’t be, some said they got a text from coach saying “you’ll hear good news soon” where is that news it’s been 3 days. Some said between 4 and 5 CST… it’s all speculation. We don’t know anything. No one knows anything anymore.
WUSTL is weird. Why say “by April 1st” if you’re gonna release it somewhere in the first half of March? They’ve been saying “by April 1st” every year for the past 5 years, but always released before 10th March. So saying “by April 1st” doesn’t make sense to me. Don’t know of any other college that does this. All other colleges at least tell us the date of releasing decisions.
We were expecting it on 7th March. Nothing happened. 8th March. Nothing happened. 9th March. Nothing happened. 10th March. Nothing happened. And no, we’re not sure it’s on Monday either. Again, that is speculation. Just because some random CC poster said it will be on Monday doesn’t mean it will be. We can hope it is Monday. We can come here on Monday and waste hours thinking decisions are gonna be out on Monday, but again, we are not sure of anything when it comes to WUSTL.

@Boston21 I’ve had some traumatic roommate experiences: Spent a summer at UCLA, roommate was a Chinese exchange student and barely spoke English, I told him to throw out the trash and, I cannot make this up, he dropped it out the window down 3 stories.
