Washington University in St.Louis?!?

WUSTL is my dream school but i'm starting to fret that I'm not really academically qualified enough to get in! :(
I'm currently a junior

SAT II: haven't taken yet

Bumpppppppppppppppppppppppp

Somebody. Anybody?

Bummmmmmmmppp

Buuuuuuuuump

You will be academically qualified if you get 2100-2200 on the SAT because Washington University’s average SAT is 2200.

I think you should get more leadership position’s because I see only 4 listed up. They have 17% acceptance rate so don’t get obsessed over the college.

Yeahh i have other options but this is my preferable choice. Counting on ED to help me out

Your GPA might be a little low so i’d try to get a lot of A’s this semester. Other than that I think you have a good chance ED. I don’t think you need more leadership though, I was accepted RD with just being editor in chief of my yearbook and being a group leader and business manager for my school’s JSA chapter. I had a 34 and 3.97 UW though

@persianmom yess, i’m trying hard to bring it up this semester! Would being first generation latino and asian help?

Being latino would definitely help! and first generation for college? yes. I think you have a good shot just get your GPA up and shoot for a high SAT

@persianmom Yes, for college. As well as first generation American in my family. Would the strong ethnic background give me an edge? I’m writing my college essay about being part of such vibrant cultures that are so different from each other.

I want to apply as a business major in Olin with a minor in art (Sam Fox if i’m not mistaken). Would the art part maybe grant a little leeway for my academics? I plan to show a lot of interest as well (i will be applying ED, I signed up for their mailing list, i have a campus tour and info session later this month, and will most likely schedule an off-campus interview later in the year).

WUStL: Low Reach

bummmmmmmppp

Bump
Bump
Bump
Bump

I think being first generation and latino, applying ED it would be a high match.

@persianmom ahh really? Thanks! Definitely giving me some hope

Make sure you visit and interview if you’re applying ED

Bumppp
Any new opinions!?

Low reach since your GPA is a lower than listed for WUSTL of average accepted students and also since their admit rate is low to begin with. Do you have access to naviance at your school? You can get a better idea since your school may have a history with them and thus you have a better idea of your chances with them. Often the gpa req’d of the accepted students are different than listed (often lower in the case of my son’s school).

You applying for art?

WUSTL ED: High match
