I've been accepted into Washington University's (in St. Louis, not Washington state) summer program, and I was wondering if anybody participated in it before/is participating in it this year? I've read the stuff on their website, but I was wondering if anybody could give me any other info.

Hey I hope you have fun! I was accepted too and give a $3800 fin. aid/scholarship, but couldn't afford it. It looks like a lot of fun though!

Thanks. I didn't get as much scholarship money as I would have liked either, but I guess my dad was willing to pay for the rest because I'd be getting credit from it or something. Did you get into anything else for the summer?

congrats to both on the acceptances!!!
I hope you still have a wonderful summer Kevin63138, which I presume you will do

Thanks DJ!

No, I didn't apply any where else. The whole Summer Program idea was new to me. We always go to Minnesota where my aunt/uncle have a cabin on a lake, and I would have missed that. I also would have missed the first week of school (my hardest year w/ like all AP classes), and of course the money issue and I decided not to go.

I emailed Marsha Hussung (the program director) asking if this would affect my chances and she said not to worry--that the summer scholars program is completely separate from the admissions office, and it could only help me.

And I'm doing something fun this summer also! I get to go to Lincoln Nebraska for the National Thespian Festival June 25-30. Woohoo!!

great!
I'm from MN, so I cannot blam ya
I'm from the city, but I've experienced some of the beauty of middle MN at a Concorida language camp
