What are the best schools in Washington state?

What are the best schools in the Seattle area?

My friend is looking to transfer out from a SoCal college, and wants a new perspective with a top notch education.

Any thoughts would be great.

(How about Oregon? I know Reed, but I think it may be a little too progressive for her.)

In Oregon, Reed, Lewis & Clark and Willamette are considered the top three private LACs.

Thanks. Anybody have any info on Seattle?

I like Seattle U- it is definitely Urban and Catholic- but not that many schools actually in Seattle- besides UW
Whitman is of course clear on other side of state- in a nice little town
Seattle pacific university is Methodist- but if some of your schools are Reed and Willamette, you may be disappointed.
University of Puget Sound, I don't know a lot a bout- it is in Tacoma- about 30 minutes on a really good traffic day- or at 4 in the morning.
I guess if Reed is too progressive- Evergreen would be off the chart- :)
Olympia is nice though and you can see where Sleater- Kinney got their name!
