Congratulations to all of you! WAY TO GO

Congrats Brand...Your path to acceptance has been pretty well documented on CC and it's nice to hear someone so committed to the process hearing the good news...same goes for all the other accepted CCers as well. I'll probably hear in the second round since something got screwed up with my dean's report but regardless I don't think my nerves can take another day waiting for my ILR decision.

Cavs019--what ILR? Where else are you applying to?

Cornell ILR.......It's far and away my first choice.

Cavs - ILR has a very generous transfer rate (50%). Although I've been told many times that that figure doesn't include GTs, I'm not sure who to believe anymore. I think you've got a good shot there so don't worry about it too much. As crazy as the transfer process seems to be, I really do think people on CC tend to be the more competitive applicants. Did you have the phone interview yet?

wow today's been like the best day of my life - i really feel...redeemed? iunno if that's the right word, but i don't care haha. congrats again to all you guys that got in - washu ur first choice now? im only applying to columbia and stanford besides WashU, tho im strongly tempted to pull out the other apps, b/c i love washu so much :)

Brand,

Despite our arguments, I am very happy that you were admitted. I always love it when students from lower level schools get to experience the diversity, attention, and intellectual atmosphere of a top school. It was a life-changing experience for me, not only academically, but socially: I've met some of the most incredible.

Also, opportunities abound.

imran - the only other ones I'm applying to are Wes and NYU. My parents don't really want me to apply to NYU now but I'm going to anyways...I'm really hoping for Wesleyan too so I can have another real option to WashU.

Nspeds - thanks, that's nice to hear. I am extremely happy too...honestly, I've never felt the way I did when I looked at the decision. I consider myself pretty bright, but when I opened up the main status page two new links were visible: "check your admissions decision" and "check your enrollment status." The mere presence of the second implied that I had been accepted, but I couldn't accept that as a reality until I got to the actual letter. Even then, I had to read it twice and have continued to check back to make sure they haven't changed it to a rejection. :D

I look forward to whatever awaits me. Now to prepare for the LSAT. ;)

Brand - I had my phone interview about 3 weeks ago and I'd say it went amazingly well. I knew Ian prior to the interview since I was the only person at my ILR info session so it was more or less an interview in its own right. They've had my completed app since December, and with my 3.9 mid-semester report going out on monday I should hopefully hear in the first wave of rolling decisions at the beginning of April.

Haha. This in itself should have a major positive impact on your app, especially if Ian is presumably on the admissions committee. Good luck and let me know how it goes!

Thanks man, will do. Hopefully I receive some good news from Wash U as well in the upcoming weeks.
