I'm looking for insight as to what the Cross -Country program at Washu is like, preferably from a past or current runner. Is the team like a family, Whats an average 5k time for the team? How often do you compete? Whats the coach like? Do you practice year-round? Does the school pay for anything or offer any perks to runners on the team? how much time does it take up? Where do you do your long runs(i.e. on campus, Forrest park, in the city)? How do you travel and where do you go for meets? What are your workouts like? How many workouts do you do a week? How many days a week do you run? What is your coaches philosophy? Whats your mileage like? How big of a commitment is it? Do the guys and girls teams do a lot together? Does the program get sufficient funding? Do you have fun or is it a strict atmosphere? Did you develop most of your friendships through the team?...

The got fourth at D3 nationals. I think that says a lot about their program.

this actually would be interesting to me too. I was accepted ED and will be running cc/track next year as a freshmen. I met with the coach this past summer, but I still don’t have the same insight as a current runner on the team
