WashU Early Decision Class of 2016

@bnaelitz what is 5 guys burgers and fries? I’ve heard of it before but there are none where i live. also no chili’s…or walmart

@rackem45 I haven’t been doing homework for the last two days because of I’ve been so nervous about admission!

@admissionshurt Where do you live? Five guys burgers and Fries is my favorite restaurant. All it serves is hamburger, french fries, and hot dogs. All of the food is amazingly delicious and fresh too! The burgers are so juicy and their fries are perfectly seasoned!

@bnaelitz What state are you? 5Guys is WAY popular in Virginia.

@applicationshurt Sorry I misspelled your name. I’m using the voice recorder on my iPhone and sometimes it doesn’t pick up what I say. Also Taco Bell is to chipotle as McDonald’s is to five guys!

@rackem45 I live in northwestern Ohio in a suburb of Cleveland. There’re two 5 guys restaurants within 20 minutes of my house and I would say I eat there about once a month.

I really don’t think I can wait any longer. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

@bnaelitz I have tons of fam in Cleveland :slight_smile: I just can’t get enough of the fries…there’s a restaurant in the mall I go to, easily the most crowded place in the food court :D

haha there’s a 5 guys about an hour from where i live and my friends and i actually drive up there pretty often

it has those amazing touch screen soda machines that will make you literally any soda you can imagine–just an added bonus to the great food!

My best friend applied WashU ED as well, and he just got a scholarship to another school. He thinks he will be able to get out of the ed waiver easily. But I don’t know. Does anyone on here know, how you can get out of your ed commitment waiver?

@rackem45 where I live the five guys is always very crowded. Have you ever been to cedar point when you’ve been visiting family up here? The only times I’ve been through West Virginia is through arevwhen my family took a vacation to South Carolina and when my marching band went to Disney.

If you demonstrate that you can’t pay for tuition with the scholarship money WashU gives you, they’ll let you out of the agreement.

They of course won’t let you wave it in if you merely get a scholarship to another school, but you can try haggling the price and get a bit reduced.

And for those with the money, prepay four years up front. You’ll save a fortune (cost of tuition increase a year >>>>>> inflation). You prepay for four years at the current rate.
Second year you save about $2k, third year $4k, fourth year $6k for $12k total (roughly).

@bnaelitz
Five Guys in Cleveland is the best!!! :)

@rkdus0818
so is five guys like the equivalent of in-n-out? cause if so, it must be pretty awesome

If decisions do come out tomorrow, we should definitely make a facebook group for those that are admitted.

@bnaelitz- never been unfortunately. i’d LOVE to go tho :D

It’s kinda set up like fast food restaurant, but you can’t compare Five Guys with McDonald! (one in Cleveland doesn’t have drive through though…) umm… I will say Five Guys is like Chipotle. You choose the hamburger and you can put anything you want like fried mushroom, pickles… I can’t really think about it right now, but they have tens of ingredients you can put in. Also, their fries r the best! they have both regular one and spicy one (I believe it’s Cajun seasoning). Gosh! it’s the best hamburger in the world! Just thinking about it makes my mouth watery!!!

@marcdvl are you saying the Wash U offers the option to prepay for all 4 years at the rate of your first year? I haven’t read that anywhere.

If so, what do you prepay - just tuition or tuition and room & board?

Thanks

hopefully today’s the day!!! :)

i have had 5 guys and i live right next to an in n out… in n out beats 5 guys any day. hands down.
