I had a WashU professor reach out to me over Thanksgiving weekend regarding some potential 1st Year programs…asking me to respond/ask questions of him :flushed:. Anyone think this is a positive sign for possible ED acceptance??? Has this worked out for anyone in the past or with other schools. I didn’t even know this could happen…trying to keep hopeful.

Sounds encouraging, but also seems very odd at the same time. Which WashU school are you applying to?

That sounds amazing. Did you have a chance to interview? If not, could this be in lieu of an interview?

This would not be in lieu of an interview. Interviews are done directly through the admissions office.

I did already have an interview, back in October. Maybe they are on the fence with me?? I want to think it was a good sign, but it also makes me extra nervous.

I wouldn’t overthink it. I don’t see how it could be a negative. Which school at WashU are you applying to?

Arts & Sciences

Best of luck!

Much appreciated! You too if you or someone you know is also applying.

I want to see how competitive the ED cycle is what we’re y’all’s stats like gpa and test scores

did you mention any specific course names or programs or even people in any part of your application?

Yes, my essay was pretty specific.

I was as specific as I could be with a 200 word limit. SAT was over 1500.

Those 200 words were rough! My Mom pointed out to combine ‘Wash’ and ‘U’ and that saved me

My daughter also has a professor reach out from Arts and Sciences. Not sure if it’s a good sign or just standard for all ED applicants.

Anyone hear a potential date for ed decision? I know they said by dec 17 but idk if anyone has heard something more specific
