Hi guys! I’ve already talked on here but I applied in mid-October and the wait is seriously killing me. I’m live in the STL area, so if you guys have any questions about what to do in STL feel free to ask!
@TwiceTrash definitely call them. I don’t think financial need is going to deter them from admitting people. They want well-rounded, intelligent people so they can advertise about Wash U’s high academic achievements. Ultimately, it depends on gpa, act, and extra curriculars.

@wondering03 noooo I’m so sorry that wasn’t my intention! The article says they’re trying to diversify their student body in terms of socioeconomic status, so let’s hope that’s really their mission for our pool (which is probable considering the article was written last year). You’re also applying ED, so that helps even more. We’re in the same boat haha
This is definitely a reach/dream school for me, mostly because of my ACT- Everything else was spot on, but my ACT was 31…I showed a lot of interest (Visited, interviewed, ED) so maybe? I honestly am trying to be neither optimistic nor pessimistic. Eitherway, I’m a nervous wreck! I just love this school, it really is a dream. Good luck to everyone 
And remember that no matter what happens, you’re not any less worthy or intelligent or anything. It just means that maybe it wasn’t meant to be this time (This is what I’m telling myself and I think it’s true. But it will still be hard.)

I’ve already accepted that I’m either going to be rejected or deferred this round. WashU is a massive reach for me, and there were plenty of more qualified students from my school that applied ED as well. best of luck to the rest of you

I wish I’d just get rejected rather than deferred because if I get accepted, I’m going to go there but it would be nice to know now rather than months from now. I can’t believe we’re going to know so soon! Isn’t weird to think there’s people reading our essays right now and making our decisions??
