does washu cover any expenses if you’re going to go to walk-through?

No. My daughter just said congratulations etc etc.

My daughter received the fee waiver and she got accepted.

So, I was accepted conditionally and would have to complete the FSAP prior to enrollment.

“To help make your transition to WashU as seamless as possible, we’d like for you to attend our First-Year Summer Academic Program from June 19–July 24, 2021. Your admission is contingent on your attendance at and successful completion of this five-week program. For more information about this program, please visit fsap.wustl.edu.”

Is anyone else in the same situation as me?

Waitlisted. International applicant.

I received a fee waiver and utilized it when submitting my application, and was accepted.

Received the fee waiver and waitlisted here

Yes, my kid got that e-mail. I wonder if everyone did? Also, they had received the late December fee waiver & used it to apply. They would not have applied to WUSL otherwise, but started to research the univ. more after receiving these e-mails & decided to apply. Ended up with a scholarship (15k & computer grant). Was not expecting this as had received the e-mail prior that was not selected as a merit scholarship finalist. VERY nice surprise!

Deciding between DMA (Design | Media Arts) at UCLA and Sam Fox at WashU. I’d welcome discussion (public or PM) from others in this position! S has been doing design / digital art intensively for past two years and considering ‘path’ as a digital designer and eventually creative director across illustration/video/product. (Question also posted in UCLA forum)

My daughter received an email offering to start in the summer( choosing from three summer sessions) but not mandatory. Her choice to start in the summer on in the fall.

Accepted to Wash U, Notre Dame, and UCLA. I’m a little torn. I have not visited any of the schools so I do not know the culture/vibe of any of them. All are great schools, but any insight, wisdom, personal experience would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Yes! This has been an incredibly challenging year in admissions for many reasons, but the main one seems to be a significant increase in the number of applications for many schools.

My son is a first year at Olin - he applied ED but had multiple admits from Berkeley, CaseWestern , etc. in hand and chose WashU - he also received one of the Merit scholarships (we are from Northern California so the Midwest is a whole new experience for him). Can’t speak to the other schools but he’s had a very good experience thus far despite Covid restrictions. TBH he hasn’t found it as academically challenging as he thought and sometimes feels like he could be challenged more but he’s really loving the campus, the people and the overall vibe. Dorms are really nice, food is top-notch, the profs have been very open to extra-classroom conversations. Not much visiting St. Louis so far.

If you have specific Q’s I’m happy to answer them - what is your intended major?
