WashU Olin for Ibanking

I am a student at Olin. Finance major. The location is bad, and I doubt the ability to land a job in ibanking after graduation. Anyone can share some points about Olin's placement? Is the career center very helpful?

If I transfer to other peer schools for more opportunities in OCR, which ones do you recommend?

Olin isn’t a great school for IB recruiting. Peer schools that would give many more opportunities include Stern, Ross, McIntire, McDunough, and then top schools that don’t have a bschool in the eastern half of the country.

Thx. I am planing to apply to transfer to Penn next year.

^Easier said than done. Especially to Wharton.

I will apply for CAS…

If you’re applying to CAS then why are you considering PENN? You’re probably better off applying to some publics like Ross, Haas, McCombs, etc.

This is wrong too. CAS has pretty solid placement, likely better than McCombs. Furthermore, Ross is next to impossible to transfer in to, and Haas isn’t a guaranteed thing either.

Sorry, not wrong. Assuming OP is still a freshman, he/she can transfer into a public and apply to be admitted into the business school separately once he’s on campus if he’s in good academic standing.

For what it’s worth, dealing with the monster of ivy transfer admissions should probably be avoided if you can gain similar opportunities elsewhere (in this case, publics with phenomenal UG business programs).
