WashU, Rice, UNC-CH Honors, or UF Honors?

I am stuck with this decision, and I plan to visit these colleges during this month.

However, I am interested to see what college you would recommend for a student that will be studying the biological/life sciences. Obviously, it might be a little biased here but that's why I have posted it to each college's thread.

What makes your college stand out above all of the others?

You have two groups here:
Wash U vs Rice
UNC vs UF

First, you (and only you) can distinguish whether you want the large state school environment, or if you want the smaller private school environment. Since you are in the honors program at the two state schools, I think you can probably expect to have a similar quality of education at all 4 options… difference will come down to the environment.

I haven’t been to Rice, but by all accounts it seems to be a very similar school to Wash U… size, surrounding area around campus, majors, quality of peers, etc. You’ll really need to visit both and see which one “fits” you better, because there is not enough distinguishing them on paper for ANY unbiased person to recommend one over the other to you. Good luck!
