Basically, I'd like to apply to WashU and on my family connection graph, it looks as if I'm going to be waitlisted. On our graph if you have X gpa and X sat score you will be admitted/waitlisted. However, this school seems to be growing in competitiveness,so I am on edge. I'd like to show interest to this school, but can not visit due to living quite far away. What are other ways? Do you know if it is easier to get in ED than RD if so do you know how WashU looks at upward trends?

Thanks

I’m not sure what kind of graph you’d be looking at expecting to be waitlisted, but there’s definitely more to it all than GPA and SAT scores ;)

As far as showing interest, try this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/washington-university-st-louis/744304-how-does-one-show-interest.html

Applying ED definitely takes care of the interest issue, so it may be slightly easier to get in ED. Hard to say though.

What do you mean by upward trends? Grades increasing across years of highschool?

yes my grades have improved!

yes, I believe it is easier to get in as an ED. Thats the ultimate way to show interest because WashU knows you will be coming.
