WashU Student Body Vibe

Hey everyone! I was recently accepted as a RD applicant and honestly did not expect to get in so I never really looked into the school too seriously. However, now that I am in I am definitely more interested in WashU. I was wondering if anyone could comment on the general vibe of the student body? Are people quirky? Open-minded? Fun? I’ve heard many different things. I haven’t had the chance to visit, although I think I am going to be at WashU for the Olin weekend in April so hopefully that should give me a better idea!

Congratulations! Our Student is a Sophomore at WUSTL. I think Student would describe peers as hardworking, passionate, well-rounded and love to enjoy themselves. School does a lot in terms of student events – WILD, Carnivale (fundraiser), great dorm life. Greek life is there is you want it – but is not overpowering. Student is in Greek but some of her best friends and roommates are not. Socially conscious – lots of volunteer work. School is taken seriously but they also know how to have fun. Students work together so atmosphere is collaborative rather than cutthroat. I think there is a bit of quirky there as well. Nice people – very friendly.

Hope you have a great trip!

@sta2017 , where did you decide to go? Why or why didn’t you go to Wash U? Just curious.
