WashU student looking to transfer

I'm a freshman now at WashU studying BME, and I'm thinkin about transferring. What are some good schools do you think I can transfer to? I was considering UPenn, but I think they have a rather low acceptance rate for transfers

oh and in case you're wondering, why am I transferring? I chose washu originally because I was considering pre-med, but now that I got the chance to look in-depth at the path to becoming a physician, I don't think it's suitable for me.

I think Upenns transfer rate is actually sort of high compared to the other Ivies, maybe around 16-18%?. You should consider Cornell, Emory, Northwestern, UVA, UNC, and UMich as they’re all pretty transfer friendly. It depends on what you want in a school. I think we may need more information.

This is slightly off topic, and I am sorry for interrupting on your thread, but did you like WashU for the short time that you were there?

mainly wbecause washu is lacking in the engineering department is variety and quality, but more so on variety. For BMEs, we have to take other courses, which are important to building our foundations, offered in the other departments, and that’s the problems.

The BME department is big, but not that that big, and the other engineering departments are simply lacking in variety and quality. Now don’t get me wrong, washu’s undegrad bme department is one of the best, but the other engineering programs are not on par.

I was also considering Cornell and Michigan. Northwestern, idk so much; there’s also the quality of campus life factor, which washu excels at, and I don’t wanna gain greater quality of education in exchange for a drastic drop in quality of life.

Also, I don’t think my GPA can cut it for a lot good schools to transfer to; I’ll have like a 3.4-3.7 by the end of this year…

also does UNC and Emory offer engineering?

also do I meet to basic requirements for transfer for any of these schools?

by the end of this year, I will have taken:
-1 year of chemistry
-1 of physics
-1 semester of biology
-1 year of calculus

and do all these schools offer transfer to spring semester? By then I will have completed another semester of biology and a semester of computer science. Anything else I would need?
