Stern is not the huge target internet warriors on here and some IBoasis guys like to think it is.

It seems that many think that Stern is the second best school for IB after Wharton which is actually not true at all, I can think of close to a dozen schools that place better.

Ross however is a great school, I think better than Stern but many would disagree.

Dawgie has realized he will never land a decent job, let alone one at a BB bank or consulting firm. That's why he posts that "stat" all the time, so he won't look like a complete failure when he graduates.

The following statement is directed solely at Dawgie, and I don't mean to be arrogant at all.

Dawgie, I'm currently interning at a top 5 consulting firm...so SUCK IT.

I was just talking about some options if he decides to go to a different undergrad bschool. I don't think Stern is second to Wharton for all IB targets but I do think it is a solid target. I choose Ross over Stern, but I know there are those that have done the opposite.

If I get to transfer, still I should look at Wharton, Ross and Stern over Olin.

Is it gonna be difficult to transfer to Ross or Stern?
Since Ross isn't a 4-year program, I guess it is gonna be very competitive choice.

Personally, I just do not want to go to Stern, because I heard its campus isn't that attractive. I love big city life styles, but I rather have a collegetown experience in the undergraduate level.

I just can't decide whether to try to transfer or not. lol

Ross and Stern have stronger career placements/connections than Olin does, so it might be good to transfer. I chose Ross over Stern too, I just love Michigan's college atmosphere.

I would choose Stern over Ross for the location of NYU, but a city campus is not for everyone and sometimes its just not a college experience...

I would just like to note that Wash U is a target school. I graduated in 2005 and all of the top firms recruted there. From the campus recruiting, I landed a job in Investment Banking in a top 5 Firm. When I was there, we were ranked in the top 10 universities in the US, and I believe we are currently ranked #12. Any prestigious firm will know about Wash U, the question is, are you qualified enough to land a prestigious job. That is all up to you.
