My GPA is low and have been on a downward trend. I'm trying to do better this semester.
I had lots of extenuating circumstances that my counselor will explain on the recommendation.

One of my teacher recommendation is very strong, the other not so much.
I wrote quite a unique college essay that my teacher and my peers seem to have liked.

I understand all of these schools are reaches, but I was wondering if I still had somewhat of a shot at them (Or maybe I shouldn't apply at all). I've already been accepted to few state schools as safeties.

Forever alone.

GPA is a bit low, but if you explain your circumstances you should be fine.

Brown seems a bit of a stretch, but the rest are decent shots.
you also have lots of ecs, which is good.

Good luck! I think you’ll be fine.

Chance back?

Thanks :D

Brown is a reach. UVA is a reach if you’re out of state. Wash U and Tufts are lower reaches, but reaches nonetheless I think. You need to explain your GPA, and your essays need to be solid and passionate. Make your ECs come alive, because they seem average. Once again, passion.

I say this. If you want to go, apply. I think you do have a shot at them, even if its tiny. So why not? You get rejected, but at least you tried. Life is about taking risks. Give it a shot!
