Washu v. Carnegie Mellon?? (Art/design major)

Hi! I was accepted to Washu’s Sam Fox and CMU School of Design.
I’m interested in studying fine art and design (communication and maybe industrial) though I’m also considering a minor in marketing…
Anyways, I visited both schools & instantly fell in love with Washu. It’s beautiful, the vibe was right, the breakfast torta was amazing… However Sam Fox, I understand, doesn’t offer any sort of product design? D:
CMU, I felt pretty neutral towards when I visited, however I was accepted to the School of Design, which I know is a very strong program.
WHICH SCHOOL?? I’m so stuck!!! I loved washu!! But why do they not offer any product design! But then again I’m not even sure if I like industrial/product design that much, so I don’t want to go to CMU just for that. I’m a pretty laid back person, so I felt CMU wasn’t really my environment… Anyways thank u all for any feedback u have

WashU!

Just go where you will be happy! When working on projects try to concentrate on product design, such as your senior capstone, etc, and focus on finding internships that have something to do with product design. Your experience is what you make of it. That being said, I know next to nothing about Carnegie Mellon, so its up to you!.

Hi I’m going to be applying to cmu in the fall and was wondering if I could ask about the admissions process - really how ur portfolio was?like the type of pieces u had and etc?
