I got into Case, Northwestern, and WashU, but I'm having trouble deciding which school fits me the best. I really want to go into medicine, so I would appreciate any advice concerning each school's research programs and biology departments. Although cost isn't really a problem, I did receive the Trustee's scholarship from Case (~27,000 a year). Any thoughts on where I should go?

I was in a situation similar to yours and I chose WashU for quite a few reasons. First of all, when I visited the campus, stayed the night, and sat in on a class, I was amazed by how comfortable I felt. Also, I know many people at WashU who are happy with their decision from the day they enroll to the day they graduate and continue in their success. A friend of mine is graduating a year early with a Biomedical Engineering major with close to a 4.0 and a 40 MCAT. Over the summer she is volunteering with doctors in Uganda. She may be an anomaly, but just an example.

WashU also has a lot of research opportunities. I have been told that there are more opportunities than students interested in researching. Also, BME at WashU is one of the highest ranked in the U.S. and you may want to look into PNP (Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology) as well, it's probably what I am going for. Case is well known for its medicine, but WashU is more well known for having the 4th ranked med school. The opportunities upon graduating from WashU are better. Northwestern vs WashU is a close call, but I chose based on how much I liked WashU's campus. Congrats and you can't go wrong with this list of schools!
