These are my options. I'm most probably going to major in Computer Science, but my interests are incredibly varied (polySci, psychology, philosophy, history, law, math...etc) - I'd love to be able to change around easily if a year from now I find CompSci isn't for me - perhaps even change schools (i.e. engineering to arts & sciences). I really love the fact that WashU and Vandy are both located in metropolitan areas. I am really looking for the college that's going to give me the opportunity to work an internship, to find good placement upon graduation, and hopefully to have the ability to study abroad for a period of time.

WashU and Vandy are the best schools overall on this list, but they could all be suitable choices for you. Bucknell, Lehigh, and Lafayette have a lot in common.

WashU kicks arse and it's undergrad education is extremely underrated, as long as you get enough financial aid though you should be fine... + its campus, dorms and just overall quality of life are awesome.

all of the schools on your list provide the qualities you are looking for in a school (sans urban location). at the end of the day youll be making a decision on where youre going to be spending the next four years of your life, something a number in a magazine should not make for you. visit as many as you can (if you havent already) and be honest with yourself about which school is the best fit for you. it might be washu or vandy. it might not.

I like Vanderbilt a lot, but I can't really say anything bad about WashU except most people around where I live (CA) haven't heard about it. It's really your decision, tho. It'd be better if you had a major in mind, but just pick the best overall for you.

Well I dunno about Wash U...best natl. ranking of the four though.

But, i just decided vandy over bucknell, and while there is (plenty of)bias in this opinion, I think vanderbilt is a really solid school and would be a great choice no matter what.

bucknell is kinda in the middle of nowhere...if that's your thing though, I'd choose bucknell over all those schools.
