I sent my application in in October, but I haven't been contacted about an interview yet. Should I be worried about this? Should I schedule one myself? How?

I’m in the same boat as you. I submitted my application (including the supplement and fees) in mid-September, but I still haven’t been contacted. I’ve been repeatedly told that this is either due to a lack of interviewers or an abundance of applicants from my region, and I’m thinking it’s both, since I live in a relatively competitive area in California. But it’s still disheartening when I see everyone else talking about their interviews :p

I haven’t had one yet, either. I think we should just have faith for now, if they confirmed receipt of your application.

Oh gosh, I’m also in a competitive area in California, sent my app in beginning of December. ):
Sounds like I’ll have to wait for my interview for a long while yet. Sighh

@fledgling

Guess what? I had my interview a week ago :D

Sucks to be you.

Jk, you’ll get an interview soon…hopefully…

@ Pianodude: Haha, thanks for rubbing my inferiority in my face… :p

Yeah, it was just annoying hearing from my friend who got called a couple of days after she turned in her app, which was a month later than I did. Oh well.

Don’t worry, people. I didn’t hear from my interviewer until the 12th of January last year. It’s totally normal. From what I figured out (he forwarded me an email chain between himself and the regional director of interviews), the interview report needed to be in by the 25th. (My interview was the 19th.)

tl;dr: You’ve got lots of time. Stay calm. :)
