wat marks should i aim for in CBSE EXAMS (4 INDIA)????

well i guess so.. im justnot the type who'd put in the effort if i knew there was nothing id gain in the end... but if u wanna play it safe i guess it makes sense to study for your boards.

and hello- why do u regret not studyin for your boards now? ur into duke man..

c'mon people...........keep the replies coming in!!!!!!!

hello

'tis bn a while since i came here...i've got me boards looming large too. just how much does the 10th matter? i mean i had a friend who got 80% in her class 10 and 12 both and got accepted into columbia, stanford and amherst...so...got me thinking.

I'd rather not take the risk but obv u can't just ace ur exams and get in right? u have to prove ur mettle elsewhere too innit? so what did u guys do for that? i'm a little clueless, here in the middle east there're not too many options.

If she didn't apply for financial aid, then its not a surprise.

By and large most schools would love to see you perform extremely well on your CBSE exams because they are the only external exams we have. Most state schools in my experience will ONLY consider your grade 10 CBSE exams. They just use the grade 9 & 11 results to verify your performace in the boards. Obviously acing your CBSE board exams will give you an advantage, but it won't get you in.

Which country are you in right now? That will help me address your second question.
