Tonight my daughter sent me an email she’d received from the FA office informing her that a change had been made to her awards. I went into the award page and it only tells what the awards are today, not what the change was. One item seemed a little different ($610, which was a number I didn’t remember) so I went to the bill and yes, there was a ‘new’ grant of $110 (previous award of $500 was there as on the bill they don’t change a posting, just make the correcting charge/payment. Happy news.
But then I looked at it because there were some other things that didn’t seem right. My daughter had requested a return of her deposit from freshman year since she no longer lives in the dorm. They’d credited it to a prior term (-$200 balance), but had re-charged her that $200 on this term’s bill. $200 charge less $110 credit left a $90 balance, but they brought the -$200 forward, so they will ‘refund’ her $110. Wait! Where is her $200 deposit refund? They just zeroed it out.
This school is going to be the death of me.
