Water and Dorm

Just wondering how I'll get water at UCLA dorms?
How do u guys get water? Do you drive to stores and buy a pack or drink at cafe or something?

Also how do I go from LAX to UCLA and vice versa?

Thank you

I'm not actually experienced in this, but interestingly:

FOXNews.com - Los Angeles Tap Water Judged Tastiest in World - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News

I don't know how it typically works, but I was planning on raiding Costco for a pack of bottled water some time before move-in.

And I believe between LAX and Westwood there is a FlyAway shuttle, $4 each way, and they run every half-hour or something. Here:

well I bought a brita filter (you can get it at target) to get water. as for lax to ucla i have no clue.. i think you take a bus from lax to santa monica, then another to ucla.. not sure, sorry!

water: uh, bathroom? if you mean bottled water, then yes, drive to target or wherever and get a whole bunch. also, refillable water bottles. if you have your own bathroom you can put a filter on it if you're so inclined. bcaf and the other places have 2 bottled drinks (including water) for a swipe, and you can use leftover swipes on packs of water.

LAX- UCLA has been discussed before. in order of popularity/ease of use:
-flyaway shuttle at lot 36 in westwood
-supershuttle
-friend's car
-taxi
-culver city bus

Brita filter + fridge + reusable water bottle = (environmentally friendly!) win.

i buy packs at ralphs and lug it up the hill.

and i take supershuttle to and fro the airport. unless friends are around.

thanks guys
very helpful

no water fountains?

so... LA tap water isnt poisonous?

???

LA would be in deep **** if their water was poisonous.

NO WATER BOTTLES!

get a nalgene or stainless steel water bottle and invest in a brita filter. why would you waste all that plastic?

LA tap water is not tasty.

get a brita or pur filter and a cup.

Yes, there are water fountains on each floor in the dorms, but as most people have been saying, get a filter or just bring large quantities of bottled water (which is what I did - my closet was stacked full of cases of water)

because i can.
