To the students who have spent a year or so at Princeton:

What kind of water do students drink in their dorm rooms? Do they have a supply of water bottles on hand? Or would I be safe in just bringing a water filter?

It's probably not necessary to bring a water filter. I know my roommate and several other people who drank the sink water, and you can always load up on the Princeton water bottles with the leftovers from your residential college study breaks. I never drank the sink water, and I still managed without a filter.

You can also order water delivery service from Student Agencies. They deliver a big package of bottled water every two weeks or so. That service is also available for gatorade, which is popular among athletes.

my parents would just bring a 24 pack of water every time they showed up. It's easier to have water bottles than a water filter because its a pain to have to find/clean cups or glasses and brita's also take up lots of space in a small fridge. You can also buy water bottles at frist, using your late meals. Plus if you have water bottles you can bring them with you wherever you want. Many people have nalgenes, but I don't like how they make the water taste

Philntex: How much is that service?

I think it's like $15 a case (of around 24). That's what I could gather from the website, but check it out yourself to make sure: http://www.princetonh2o.com/index.asp

Thanks very much. I appreciate the help.

don't be lazy...walk to CVS or WAWA and pick up six packs of your favorite drink every week.
