I've heard that some schools will issue a waiver or discount on Application fees to the more needy, does anyone know anything about this, or am I completely out of my mind here?

OCU usually waives it if you apply early enough.

At one point OCU was also waiving if you applied on-line or if you attended one of their preview days and started the paperwork while you were there.

Point Park also waives their application fee if you apply online and then we received an e-mail from Otterbein saying they were accepting applications online with no fee as well. In terms of the majority of the schools, I believe your school counselor would have to get you paperwork based on income for other application waivers.
