<p>There is no max of two paragraphs. That was just a mistake in the way the common app help section was initially written. You can have as many paragraphs as you like in the essay and additional information sections. </p>
<p>The paragraph problem is a formatting constraint where you can’t put extra lines between paragraphs. Extra blank lines are automatically removed.</p>

<p>No, as you’ll see when you do your essays, indenting is not allowed. There can be just one return between paragraphs. Some people would prefer two to better show the breaks, but that isn’t permitted.</p>
