wow soccer, those are some pretty solid stats to not get an interview.

soccer where you in state or out?

yeah, thats doesn’t seem fair at all. bummer! I wonder how they go about picking the top fifty, because you definetly seem deserving of it.

I’m in state. I’m just wondering what you needed to have to get an interview.

rejected from wayne state.

Those of you who got top 50, I would just like to know…what do you think made you stand out? B/C there were many people with high scores an EC’s that applied this year.

@mrsoccer…Did you get an email stating you are not in top 50, b/c I did not recieve an email at all. So I contacted the office and they had to resend me an email (though they said one had been sent in the morning). Turns out I am in the top 50.

To those of you who got top 50,

1) Do you might to share the email’s content? When are then interview dates?

2) My son (out-of-state) got email today as following, and he wonder whether he got the phone interiew because he’s are out-of-state?

Subject: MedStart – your status in the selection process

Hello MedStart applicant,

You have been identified as a top candidate for the MedStart program at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. I hope that your interest continues so that you will participate in a 30-minute telephone interview as the next step in the selection process. If so, I’ll set the schedule for the week of Feb. 14 beginning at 5:00 EST. The interviewers, typically some Honors staff and current MedStart students who are from out-of-state, will ask you to speak about your intended path toward medicine.

Will you by return e-mail let me know (1) if your interest continues in the program, (2) which day and time you like to make the interview call? I will try to accommodate your time for the interview.

I wish you the best.
