Wayne State University Med Direct 2017

Did anyone apply for Wayne State’s Med-Direct program. If so, what are your stats? When do we hear back? I thought it was November 13th but could be wrong.

@goUSA50 I didn’t get the interview. But best of luck to everyone who got in!

@funguy @chillmanz34 @UofMich @goUSA50 @thirlbybred @targetlover and others who got the interview…

I plan to apply this program next year, but I heard this is specifically for those with disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds. I am economically “disadvantaged” (low income), but not socially (Asian). Would this affect my chances of getting accepted? I do have decent stats.

Were any of you who got the interview of disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds? If so, how? Anybody in my kind of class who got into the interview?

Just because you aren’t socially disadvantaged in a major way doesn’t mean they won’t accept you. Personally, I come from a low-income family (economic) and my dad died three years ago (Social). If you need help or have questions, I can help you with the application process personally. What are your stats if you don’t mind me asking? @worldcup2018

@targetlover I sent you a message ( @targetlover ) about my stats/question. Thanks!

@worldcup2018, going by your info from the other thread, and I hope I remember properly, don’t think you may qualify as economically disadvantaged as well by income alone. It also depends on family assets/debts/liabilities, number of kids in the college at the same time (who share the family resources), the state where you live in (where the buck perhaps stretches longer compared to others) etc. Your good stats should qualify for you for the interview/program (or any for that matter), but also keep in mind they take only 10 or so a year, so still unpredictable.

interviews are tomorrow!! Who’s ready?!

were you all early decision, or is it just one time to apply???

you can only apply once by November 1st

Did anyone get in? The results came out a couple days ago…
I didn’t get it, which is a bit disappointing, but that’s ok
