Wayo to go MSU...

I agree with Sparkeye7 it was a TD but I have a little disclosure to make. First off, I am an Iowa Hawkeye fan first and a Michigan Wolverine second (my kid is a freshman engineering student at Ann Arbor). Wisconsin is no doubt a fine football team but Bielema bringing in a quarterback for one season (this isn’t BB one and out) is just not right in my opinion (not good for team morale). Anyways, I feel for the kids on the MSU football team but I am sure many of them have been on the winning side of such decisions before and the loss couldn’t have happen to a more deserving coach. Makes things interesting for the rest of the season. MSU still has games against Nebraska and Iowa, UM has games against Iowa, Nebraska, and OSU and Nebraska has to get past MSU, PSU, Michigan, and Iowa. I have run the math but a 6-2 or 5-3 record in conference play might be enough in the Legends Division. Unfortunately, I think it will boil down to who ever wins the Legends Division against Wisconsin in the Big 10 Championship game with the Badgers prevailing.

Correction — I have not run the math

Sparkeye, I didn’t need an ad for that game.

A basketball gm also wont make up for not having an undefeated football team

And finally, I’ve always been a Tarheels fan :)

Also I see nothing wrong in Wisconsin bringing in this QB. The SEC does far worse recruiting things on a weekly basis

PeterW–you are dead wrong on team morale. You should watch the ESPN show that covered his arrival and development with the team. He was widely welcomed and voted a team captain. He already is one of the MOST popular players on the team.
Yes, I think BB screwed up with the second TO. No reason to go aggressive right then when we had much better odds in OT with our offense that was rolling at the end. We had to score twice in the 4th to tie the game. Moving the ball was not a problem when Montee Ball came back in after getting the helmet hit earlier.

Still a very strong Badger team. Just played crappy for half the game.

I should have said “morale of existing quarterbacks on team” I am sure the other 90 players on the Badger Team envisioned a National Championship

Not really. The guy that might have had the job developed an arm problem early in August and had to take a medical for the year. Nobody else was near ready and probably glad they did not have to play as freshman. They would have been ruined by the experience and pressure. We were in sad shape at QB and BB knew that–so did RW.
The ESPN show last week showed the competition and how the QBs got along. They were fine.

PDM, I think moo has to lose at least twice for Michigan to take the Bo division (I hate the names Delaney chose). The three way tie with Nebraska won’t work because Nebraska already lost to Bucky Badger and the loss to UM will give them 2 losses, leaving the Maize and Blue in a two way tie with moo. I have to agree with Alexandre that winning the division would be a long shot.

I must have read the post about that on mgoblog wrong then

Thanks Barron

I didn’t know the QB situation with injuries at MSU so I temper my original posts. I also didn’t see the ESPN show. Regardless, its going to be a long shot for any of the Big10 teams to make it to the National Championship game.
