Ways to ask a girl to prom....

If you’re looking for some semi-crazy ideas…

Make some crazy convoluted scavenger hunt…

Make an awesome music video that looks like this: [YouTube - *nsync: its gonna be me: prom 08](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_PWJKTjEYA)

Take her on top of a tall building, and have your friends lie down on the ground in the shape of the letters PROM? Have her look down at the crucial moment.

Tape a big poster with PROM? on it to your car, drive up to her honking and making a big racket to attract attention.

If she is religious but isn’t uptight about it and has a sense of humor… dress yourself up like Moses and give your invite like you’re giving the Ten Commandments: “Thou shalt have no other Prom dates before me…”

Decorate a cardboard box to look like a fishtank. Place it somewhere where she’ll see it, along with a big poster saying “(NAME), out of all the fish in the sea, I’d like you to go to Prom with me!” Hide inside the box, and when she opens it, you jump out, present flowers, and ask.

(Only works for girls with certain numbers of letters in their name) If girl has 7 letters in her name (Britney, in my example), buy 7 white shirts. Spell out her name on the front of the shirts, and on the backs write “WILL YOU GO TO PROM WITH ME?”, one word on each shirt. Get 6 friends and have them line up in order where the girl will see. You wear the shirt with the last letter and “ME?” on the back. Everyone jumps in sequence, saying the word on the back of the shirt. You get to be the one who completes the sentence by shouting “ME?!” and handing over the flowers.
You could experiment with different numbers of letters and different messages…

I like creative askages, seriously.

Just be like, " hey grace u tryna go to prom?" she’ll be like “yeah”, smiling mad hard. then u say “cool talk to you later”. Dont go through all that other hoopla, prom is not that fun.It will be though if you guys really like each other. But for most people thats not the case and its a really disappointing event. Thats why I’m not wasting my money on that garbage at my school. Good Luck.

Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with meee!! to prom…

All of those are cuteee!

I think these “creative techniques” for asking someone to prom is so stupid, but for those of you who are into it (and God help you), my daughter told me about this one today. The guy found out the girl’s license plate number, and went into the school office to say that such-and-such a car has it lights on. So when she came down to the main hall to go outside, he met her there with a dozen roses and ask her to prom. I think this is totally stupid, but apparently high school kids think this is romantic. :D

my date chalked my street with: CAITYLIN PROM WITH ? (he ran out of space leading up to my house) then taped a card where i park my car with a cute little note & stuff in it. it was really cute.

FFS just verbally ask her…

I think that asking someone via IM/Facebook/phone is stupid and kind of shows a weakness, like you are too afraid to see your possible date’s face while you ask…

Just find a relatively private area with her (not the lunchroom or in the busy school hallway - go hang out with her or something) and just pop the question… it’s not that complicated, especially if you already know she’s going to probably say yes.

This is how I got asked to prom this year:

It was a day my friends knew I was going to be really stressed out and distracted because I had an application due, and it was all I talked about, haha. So when I wasn’t paying attention, they stole my car keys (yes, I was THAT distracted) and got the teacher to let them out to the parking lot during class. They filled up balloons with helium from the leadership class and filled each one with a different letter of the word PROM. Then there were like, 4 filled with just question marks and one that said “from,___”. They came back to class and put my keys back in their place. So I had to get my keys and pop all of them, and put them together to see what it said.

It was a shame I already knew he was asking me to prom, lol, since we are just going as friends. I jokingly told him the only way I’d go is if he asked me in a cute way… even though I think it’s a waste of time… but hey, most girls appreciate it :)
