Ways to improve math score?

Hello everyone,

I am a rising senior, and haven't taken the SAT yet. I took the ACT in June, and haven't gotten my scores back yet but I know that I didn't do very well because of the time constraints.

For preparation, I have the SAT Blue Book by the Collegeboard. For the past few weeks I have been going through their practice tests, and found that I score very high on the writing and critical reading sections, but rather low on the math section. The last practice test I took (which only provides score ranges), I scored 760-800 on the Writing portion, 700-720 on CR, and all the way in the mid-upper 500's on the Math section. My ultimate goal is to get a 700 on the math, but honestly I'd be happy with a 600-650 too.

Is this feasible? I heard that the math section is the easiest section to improve on, so that gives me hope. But how do I do this?
I can't go out any buy any more review books (I've wasted too much of my parents' money on other review books..gr) so.

Thank you so much!

Bump please! :)

Look up a thread by Aussietech re SAT strategies. I’d link it but don’t know how. There is also a xiggi method thread.

I think you could benefit from one on one tutoring if the self-study isn’t working. You have to identify the sorts of concepts that you are getting wrong.
