I am interested in buying a used The Language, Science and the Academy textbook from a friend for WCWP 10A who took the course last year. However, the ISBN is 9781457611117 not the recommended 9781457641718. Will there be a significant difference in the books?

I am almost positive that the WCWP 10A course material changes every year. That means the reader you are looking for cannot be bought by any previous students, simply because we had a different reader last year.

You will only be able to buy the Ramachandran book and “A Rulebook for Arguments” from past students of WCWP 10A. Since you will be part of the first group who takes this course this year, I’m afraid you’ll have to buy it new, but at least you’ll be able to sell it to someone else at the end of the quarter.

Pretty sure you have to buy a new one. I’ll be a third year and the book we used our freshman year is completely different from the one they used last year. Even the book they suggest you read is going to be different and it is one of the main focuses of what you’ll be doing in WCWP that year.
