We are not the only one's taking a hit from these budget cuts.

Personally, the budget cuts have not affected me (I'm a MCB major), but those of you who think that only public education is suffering in this economy, you are wrong. The Ivies have also struggling. I wanted to post this before, but i was too lazy to go and find all the articles. But someone else on CC posted this so here you go:

<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parents-forum/743711-harvard-had-no-idea-things-were-bad.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parents-forum/743711-harvard-had-no-idea-things-were-bad.html</a></p>

This is not to start an intense debate here, but just to put it out that we are not alone.

Harvard still has tens of billions more in endowment money.
And very wealthy and loyal alumni, and very persuasive fundraisers.
And a smaller student body to educate.
And they are not dependent on money from a state teetering on the edge of insolvency.

Two decades ago, Harvard still offered world renown education with an endowment of less than 5 billion dollars. They will definitely be able to get by with however many billions they have now.

I actually think Berkeley will be able to get by also. I think some of the other UCs might fall for good, but I think berkeley will stay strong even after this crisis.
