<p>It's a joke, but honestly, are there any colleges do similar thing??</p>

<p>Not if they don't want to be sued for causing severe emotional trauma to anxious kiddies.</p>

<p>We got a letter that began with congratulating my son on meeting all the school requirements for a certain major. The second paragraph informed him he was on the waiting list. The same school had called him just before he received the letter and when he hung up, he said "I don't know if I'm in or not." He got a more definate call a month later, but talk about confusing!</p>

<p>CC paranoia seems to at an all-time high right now -- cruel rejection letters, HS counselors not being at their desks on 12/31 getting out transcripts ruining applicants' chances, typos ruining chances, "did the post office screw me over", etc.</p>

<p>Remember, the colleges are looking to admit you if possible. They really want to be your friend. Honest. Even if they reject you, they're still looking at you as a possible Graduate student...</p>
