I havent heard yet either and I applied Jan 27. I called them last week to make sure they were not waiting on me for something and they said they were not and expected to have an answer for me by the first part of april. Then the next day I checked my status and it said application incomplete so I called again and there were missing my HS and college transcripts. So I am not too impressed with this school yet. But I heard they review and applications based on the major so I will bet you get your answer the first part of April as well. Hopefully mine doesn’t get delayed too much because of the missing transcripts

I would not be so quick to blame CU-Boulder. It could most certainly been the fault of your schools counseling center/college center or the mail.

Also, I talked to my admissions counselor back in december and she said basically major is not a factor however the school you apply to is. All rejected from the school of business and engineering are automatically considered for Arts and Sciences though.

For reference, I’m a postponed student who had their application in by October. Its been a crazy waiting period!

Im not necessarily blaming them its just frustrating when I called after two months of hearing nothing from them and I specifically asked if they were possibly waiting on me for something. They say no and then the next day my status changes to incomplete.

So what does postponed mean? Basically they accepted you but wont let you come up for a few semesters I am guessing. Maybe you are over qualified and they think you are using them as a safety school.

Understandable. Have you called since the status change to ask if it is correct or not?

Postponed means my application decision has been pushed back to april first so they can confirm my grades stay the same and that I wont slack off I suppose.

Yeah they said they never received my HS or college transcripts so I mailed another copy last week. Now its saying they have my HS transcript but not my college transcript. I called yesterday but they closed for spring break. Hopefully they just didn’t get to looking at my college transcript because they were both in the same envelope so if they have one they should have the other. They better give me an answer soon or they will get tired of hearing from me.

Oh so their decision is whats postponed? I thought maybe they accepted you but for a later semester, maybe in hopes that you go someplace else. But I guess that would make more sense. I wish I knew more about colleges and how they work and what all the terms they use mean. My parents never went to college and I never gave it much thought while I was in high school so I am having to figure it all out for myself. Well they haven’t rejected you so it sounds like if you get decent grades for the rest of the year you should get in. Good luck.

Well my status finally switched to application complete so were getting there. Now it says its being reviewed. Anyone know how long that takes? The guy on the phone said 4-6 weeks but I am hoping that is just their standard response and I will get an answer sooner.

He also said the deadline to confirm enrollment of May 1st doesn’t apply to transfer students, and that I could confirm it the day before classes start. Has anyone ever waited that long. I still dont know what I am going to do for a place to live if I go. Is it hard to get a place to live if I wait this long?

A friend of mine’s son was a transfer student last year. He did not find a place to live until July when he went to orientation. He looked on craigslist and found a terrific condo set up with two other students, one of which had a father who had bought the condo for his son to live in…fully furnished, and good location. So even though most students going off campus for next year have found a place already, there are always places to be had…
