HAHA! I love my ND. The minute I started praying our team pulled it off. I know I don't go to ND and I have a long shot, but I will never give up. This school is amazing!!! My pastor flew out from CT to watch that game. What a game he saw! All I can say is wow.... :)

Agreed. I was so afraid that I would have to eat crow with Sagabruin because of all my trash talking. I am thankful that that is not necessary!

heh. ND is just too great!

Congrats ND. Though I can't say I'm happy, that was some good playing at the end.

Good luck with the rest of the season, ya jerks. :)

lol, thank you UCLA. It was a good game, and you are a good sport. You also have a very classy team and a very classy coach. I have confidence you will bounce back and do well, as you have a heck of a defense!

I'd like to think that, but I don't see a UCLA powerhouse anytime this year. Maybe next year...

A dream deferred...SIGH.

We sucked. A lot. Just to let you all know. But I guess a win is a win.

We should have played better but I disagree that we sucked. Our defense played very well, offence was very weak (but was going up against a top 10 defense) and special teams overall was fairly decent. I would say we were alright for two reasons, the defense's play and the fact that we won the game.

We didn't look good, but I don't think we sucked. We did a lot right which allowed us to win the game at the end.

A lot of people at Cal were ****ed that UCLA lost (in such a scenario Cal would have more ranking leverage in beating a team that beat Note Dame), but I knew this would not be the case.

And yes it is disconcerting that Notre Dame just barely beat a team that is mediocre for the most part.

Bet you know how that feels after that game against Washington :)

UCLA Prevent Defense=Playing not to lose as opposed to playing to win.

They rush and sack Quinn 4 times and pressure him the whole game and then just hand the game over. What total fools. They deserved to lose.

somone please sum up this game to me... and wut happened at the end..... I had a volleyball tourney all day....and sportscenter is only talking baseball!

ND's offense stunk all day, though the defense was pretty good. Late in the 4th quarter, UCLA lead 17-13. ND has a drive going but we go for 4th and 1 and don't get it, so it is UCLA's ball. We burn all of our time outs, stop them, and they punt us the ball with 1 minute remaining. We drive down the field, highlighted by several good catches by Grimes. Then, Brady connects with Samardzija for an amazing 45 yard touchdown with less than 30 seconds remaining. He almost went down three times in the run, but with great body control goes in for the score. ND then sacks the UCLA quarterback on their Hail Mary play to end the game.

We beat them by a larger point margin than USC did, go figure.

lol, but USC played them while they still had their starting QB. We both survived close games last week, that is all I am saying and it is impossible to get around that.

wow.... seemed like a great game

UCLAri: irish is correct -- UCLA ia a very classy team with a classy coach. Cowan will be amazing with a bit of seasoning. Awesome game.
