Can't let the Berkeley poseurs get all the postings...c'mon people!! :P

Go Bruins!

GO UCLA...
I agree there needs to be more posts in this forum.
I am a son of a bruin mom and dad so I have the spirit in me.
U........C........L........A........UCLA post post post

My dad went to the U of A and is a diehard Wildcat...he is going to hate my guts if I get into UCLA. :P

Ha ha.

and U of A got owned by UCLA in football just like they did by the rest of the pac10 ;)

basketball is another story though =(

okay lets make it our goal to overtake UNC and vandy first (we already have more posts than them, just fewer threads).

then up next, notre dame!

Dang it...the bandwagon effect.

GO UCLA!!!

(gee, what an irony, I'm wearing my UCLA sweat shirt now).

I won't allow myself to wear anything UCLA until I get in...the days are dragging.

Exilo: I went to UCLA during Summer Session 2004 and was a student there. I still have my Bruin Card and pics of my dorm room in Hedrick Hall. Hence my UCLA hat, sweater, and shirts. However, I am applicant for admission into Fall 2005.

good luck guys!

Eiffel...did you take some special classes or something?

I was there this summer visiting family and checking out the campus. I used to live in Burbank so I kind of know the area...I think UCLA is a great spot for socializing and the campus itself is somewhat inspiring.

But then again, I may not have time for socializing with trying to get into med school...but as long as I can surf and grab some beer at the pub I'll be okay. =D

exilio, your UCLA school spirit is awesome. They should accept you just because you are so enthusiastic about attendting their school (in other words, you will represent the school well). I hope you are accepted. I know I won't be... I actually can't say UCB is better than UCLA aside from the program to which I am applying (and finances because I would live at home). Good luck.

"U........C........L........A........UCLA post post post"

caught up with UNC, notre dame, and vandy. cal tech's next! muahahahaha

CC Student..never about luck..er mostly.

You earned your right to apply to UCB and if that is where you want to be, than I hope you get in bud.

Any of us are fortunate to have the opportunity to have a myraid of great UC campuses to attend and for a fraction of the cost of a private school. If I don't get into UCLA I will be disappointed, but I know I will get into one of the other UC's.

And ultimately, regardless of the campus, our experiences will be largely dependent on our own actions and viewpoint..right?

But hope springs eternal...so GO BRUINS! =D

You are right, exilio. But seriously, you should have warned UCLA that they could hire a new PR person that would pay them.

CC,

I'll save it for my appeal...er grovel...er appeal. ;-)

Good idea. That reminds, I should start developing elaborate reasons for appeal... In Cali, I am only applying to UCB, UCLA, USC, and Stanford, so I need to appeal to stay in-state in the two best cities. I know I only applied to reaches (even my out of state schools)... Also, if I am not accepted to UCB or UCLA, I am going to be poor :(

LOL

Yeah I thought about Stanford as well...it is jsut 5 miles form me...but no way I am going to spend that kind of money. Plus I am ready to move.

I applied to a CSU just to be safe and I got accepted.

But I don't think you need to worry too much. We will all know in 2-3 months.

You knew you would be accepted at CSU. Cal State Los Angeles? Back in the day, I wanted to go to their early admission program for high school students. I know some people who are planning to go there. CSLA is way nicer than Cal State Hayward or San Jose.

Yeah I live near San Jose..so that is where I got in..it's a crappy campus, but since I am here and in a decent financial situation it would make sense if the UCs didn't pan out. But I worked hard and did well in CC so I am very hopeful to get into one of the UCs I applied to.

And you are right CSLA is much nicer than SJSU...but I think you will be happy you didn't end up there.

Why? My last resort is SF State, and I doubt I want to end up there. Besides, I heard Cal State LA has a good business program compared to other Cal States, but financially it isn't worth it.

How come your College Confidential icon isn't highlighted? Is there a way to turn it off, so other people don't know you are on here?
