<p>I keep getting e-mail from colleges saying "We noticed that you added us to your Common Application, here are some tips for completing your app ..." Does this mean that all the colleges I am applying to can see to where else I am applying?! Isn't that a breach of confidence/privacy?</p>
<p>No, it means that commonapp.org notifies them when you start your application. Which makes sense; how else would they know the application existed?</p>
