yea, gbv, i did, but i haven’t heard anything yet :-/ Have you?

the website lists Apr 5-6 as “Finalist interviews & selection of Freshmen Scholars” and apr 11 as “Award notifications for Freshman Scholars”

I see some have moved on from the “we received grades” message. My son, a SCA applicant, is still on that message? Any one from SCA moved on???
Good luck to everyone.

no change here

i applied to SCA and moved form prelimary to in review on friday.

Rainmama’s son: exact same as Chinaski, never had the “received grades” status.

no i haven’t heard anything either…yea, i noticed that the interviews are in early april too, but it says processing or whatever is until mid-march. so i’m thinking we’ll be hearing back soon. but i don’t want it to be like april first and them say “your interview is in five days” they probably won;t do that, but i live out of state so it would be a hassle for me

i applied to viterbi by scholarship deadline and im still stuck at that same status:

since 1/30!!!
doesnt feel good

I applied to the College of Arts and Sciences as undecided by the scholarship deadline.

We received the fall grades we requested, and require no additional information at this time. We will mail decisions to freshman applicants by April 1st.

Status last updated: 3/4/2008 4:36:08 AM

Hopefully, my status changes to we have acted upon your application.

My midyear grades were ok, so hopefully, they didn’t break my chances of getting in to USC.

My son has applied to SCA for production. I just checked his status and he has moved from “grades received” to “reviewing application”. Good luck to everyone…

Called USC today about a guestimation as to when the SCA letters come back. For my major, Writing for Film & Televsion, they said the letters don’t even go out until the first week of APRIL…so apparently some SCA-hopefuls have to wait even longer. I’m not sure what it is for other majors within the film school…

Still waiting…I’m beginning to feel lonely. I hope they didn’t lose his app or something.

I had the recieved status and my date was 3/4/08

now i have this

Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don’t receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th.

3/12/08

My s has been “we received…” since 2/21. I read that the SCA applicants would be the last to know but it appears that many others have at least been accepted to USC and just waiting for the film school to notify them. We haven’t heard anything yet.

Curious1 My son had the received grades message from 2/14 until Monday of this week. I wouldn’t assume that many others have been accepted and just waiting from SCA notification. Your son has as good a chance as the rest in this thread. All of us with the the message their application is being reviewed will have to wait, I am sure they won’t accept everyone they review. A couple of days ago someone mentioned that USC was just getting to those with the received grade message from 2/9. Good luck to your son!!

Sheed30, my status recently changed to that to. It’s hard to tell whether it’s a good or a bad thing.

sheed and houseofcards,

Yeah I had the recieved fall grades since 2/21. But mine finally changed to in review :).

I’m not applying to SCA; however, I know someone, who is applying to SCA. That person already had his status changed to “in review.”

My status still says: “We received your fall grades and require no more information.”

Mine still hasn’t changed. SCA applicant. Doing the tour of the facilities tomorrow, so hopefully they’ll say something about how decisions are going.

Basil- i thought my s was the only one left with the received fall grades status. He also applied to production with fairly good stats…i think his essays were good but what do you take of not having a status change? He’s been there since 2/21. We mailed his SCA app overnight right when it was due so I hope they even got it…I worry too much. Good luck with your visit tomorrow. Maybe after, you can share something enlightening with those of us in film production limbo.
