Junior. GPA is around 4.6; I think it will go up to a high 4.6 by fall, maybe a 4.7. Unweighted it should be between 3.9 and 4.0, but my school doesn’t give us the unweighted one. My rank is 14th out of 680-something students.
SAT: 2330
I’m taking my subject tests (math 2 and chemistry) in June.
APs:
Sophomore year - Physics 1 (4), World History (5)
Junior year (taking these tests in May) - APUSH, English Language, Chemistry, Physics 2, Statistics
Planning on taking next year - Economics, Government, European History, Calculus BC, French Language, English Literature, Biology
I have very few extracurriculars. There’s National Honor Society, and I’ve gotten some awards at the regional level for academic UIL, but I’ve never competed past state. I am in in an organisation that helps out a local animal shelter. I’ve done some math tutoring. I read a lot, but I don’t know if that counts for anything.
I also speak two languages other than English (my mother’s and father’s languages) and I am learning French.
I don’t know where I’m applying for sure. I get automatic admission to the University of Texas, but I would like to go out of state if it’s financially feasible, so I’m thinking about Ivies like Columbia and UPenn, as well as UCLA, U of Chicago, U of Michigan, NYU, Boston University. I’m also considering liberal arts colleges like Amherst, Williams, and Pomona, but I haven’t thought about that much yet. I don’t know what I want to major in, but possibly biology or biochemistry.
