Wealth and Berkeley Admissions

thats a good point lostincode. if they see that you are on track and are punching through classes, they must make the assumption you will do the same at university.

By the time I apply

I have a 3.8, Decent ECs, and I'm part of a mentorship program with Cal through my CC.

I did Summer Sessions at UC Berkeley and got an A in an upper division major requirement class.

Do you guys think it helps a lot in admissions?

Enough to make up for my mediocre extracurricular activities and a C I got in a community college chemistry course 4 yrs ago (in high school?

any opinions? not to be obnoxious with the 'chance' question but it would be nice to know.

you have the stats for it academic. now you need to make sure your essays are up to par with your academic background and I would say you have a good shot.

thanks for input.

No it shouldn't affect your chances, assuming you are an otherwise qualified candidate...Berkeley is not just made up of people from one socioeconomic rung.

I'm somewhere in between middle-class and upper middle-class and I even qualified for some loans to finance my Cal education.

Cardinal posted in my thread. WHAT AN HONOR lol one of the gods of transfer admissions.
