weather in DUke

what is the weather like in DUke??? what do people in DUke wear in different time of the year? does it ever snow in Duke?????

it does snow rarely in duke

you have the four seasons and it is just a bit north of the level where palm trees can grow

so what are peole wearing in Duke in this season of the year?? in southern Cal, we are running around with our T-shirt, jeans and slippers.

people at this time are probably wearing jeans and a long sleeve shirt... maybe also a sweatshirt at night

no, people here are in shorts this week. it's been quite warm

This week the weather has been GORGEOUS. I'm from Southern California (San Diego) and I have to say it's nicer here right now. Last night I went out in a skirt and a tank top....at 11 pm.

I think it's beautiful to watch the seasons change....the whole "leaves on the trees, flowers blooming, birds chirping" thing is not overrated (that is, in a location such as north carolina - michigan or upstate new york, not so much). We had a couple of days in january when we had "snow"....meaning, it stuck for about a day. Definitely nothing major, and we only hit the teens a couple of days.

here's a link to last month's temperatures....and note that the one cold week was spring break (i.e. no one really here). Our weather can be sporadic, but it's never too unbearable.

Yeah-- this week has been in the 70s. Girls wearing a lot of skirts and tshirts/long sleeved shirts. Lots of flip flops. Shorts. Today is kind of warm and a little rainy, so I'm wearing jeans and a long sleeved tshirt. I haven't needed to wear a jacket or a fleece outside (even last night when I got home at 3am) for a week or so.

hey lex, i am in Orange county. so the weather in DUke is BETTER THAN HERE????????????/
WOAH

ha ha ha. guess I'm wrong

looks like duke is where I'll be next year :) that is unless pton or stanford offer me more money

Not necessarily better year round (i mean, no one can really compare with our perpetual springtime), but I can't say it's this warm much this early in spring. It's the best weather on the east coast, in my opinion!
