<p>can someone talk about the weather? uvm is a top choice for me so i wanted to know if the cold is a huge issue. i generally like snow and i snowboard as well. </p>
<p>I attended UVM way back when – my impression was that fall and spring are gorgeous (temps hit 50F+ and there are kids out in shorts and t-shirts tossing frisbees and such); winter wasn’t that bad. About one week a year, it would drop below zero, but the rest of the time, it was bearable. In snowstorms, I remember there were some faculty members who would cross-country ski to school. You’ll need waterproof boots, and layers, of course. I recommend avoiding a car, when possible. It was always difficult to find a place to park off the street, during snow emergencies (I was off-campus, for two years).</p>
