For any Northwestern students out there...how much does the frigid weather affect you? I don't love cold weather and I'm wondering how much of and issue it would be to put up with... Do you get used to it? Does it really suck?

I live in the area so I'll try to put it in perspective for you.

You're from North Carolina so it's going to be a shock. It definitely sucks, but yes, you do get used to it. The first cold front will probably chill you to your bones but by the end of the winter, your body will have adjusted and you'll be wearing shorts if it's warmer than 50 degrees out. No joke.

Millions of people live in areas as cold or colder than Evanston, IL. The southerners always complain about the weather - well, everyone does - but you learn to deal with it. And it's definitely not all year. Summer is great. It's pretty in the fall, crappy and miserable in the winter, and spring is uplifting because you know winter is over.
