I live in a place that does not snow and I cannot withstand the cold weather. So I am very concerned about weather of the place.

I’m from Iowa, and St. Louis is about 6 hours from where I live. It gets chilly in the winter. Definitely expect snow, that’s a given. There are 4 distinct seasons though, and it’s nice except dec - feb/march.
( I hate the cold )

It’s been rather nice this year so far. When I left for the break yesterday, it was in the 60’s (F).

That being said, the weather isn’t the best. It rains a lot. There’s a lot of wind. However, like you I come from a VERY warm climate and hate the cold. The winters aren’t bad at all, but there is snow.

The weather is basically the same as it is here in Maryland, except with more snow. That’s fine. In Maryland we have about 6 months of grey skies and misty rain. You get over it.

I came from a 24/7 sunny and hot place and i don’t find the winters too bad. my friends from the Northeast says it snows more for them back home than it does in STL. My friend from Chicago says it is not nearly as cold/windy as it is back there.

STL is basically in the middle of the country, so you’re going to have it be warmer than some places, colder than other places, etc. for some reason i expected it to rain a lot more here, but that didn’t turn out to be true. the weather here will probably have something for everyone — a few months of it being really hot in the summer (if you stay here), about 2 months of pretty cold with some snow, but the other 6 months of the year are generally very agreeable.

what’s nice is that when it is really cold (mid-Dec through mid-Jan), you are back home for winter break… so if you live somewhere pretty warm, you’ll miss nearly 1/2 of the winter here anyway.

haha, this year also had the random week in February where it was pretty cold as usual, but then randomly there was these two days where it actually got to be in the upper 60s… then it went back down to 30 the next day. it can be really random sometimes.
