Weathering the weather

I'm in southeastern Michigan and it got up to about 70 degrees today. Strong thunderstorms overnight though.

Ooh! How warm is it in NJ? The weather was perfect here today, 28 degrees when I went out skiing.

I love Minnesota weather. Well, Northern Minneosta weather. I don't really like the weather in The Cities.

What type of weather do you want anyway? It gets kind of hot here in the summer though. Upwards of 90-95 degrees. 2 years ago it got up to 105. It's the humidity that kills though. If that's cool enough for you, you could move in with me! It's pretty cool in the winter. MOST parts of inhabited Alaska are warmer than my town (because of the ocean).

You think 28 degrees in March is perfect? lol. You're crazy. :P

Well what temperature do you think is perfect for March?

I got hot, and I wasn't wearing anything under my warm ups. The boys ski without shirts on when it gets this hot.

They take their shirts off when it's 28 degrees? Why?

The perfect March temperatur for me is 70 - 75 degrees. Summer temperatures - 80 - 90 degrees.

Ewww. 70-75 degrees? That's so freakin warm.

i'd be happy if it stayed about 45-75 degrees all year round. but it doesn't and instead we get a general 20-90 range

Yeah... common temps range from -20 to 95 here throughout the entire year. We get those temps multiple times a year. Extremes are pretty much from -40 to 105, I can only remember it getting that cold/hot a few times.

today was nice and rainy..loved it so much!

Okinawa, where are you in New Jersey? I'm in the north, and it's not really that warm today. Yesterday, it was only in the mid 50s, low 60s...

And as for me, I definetely don't want to live in New Jersey, but I also don't want to live in a place where I'm stuck inside 1/3 of the year because of the winter. In my opinion, you're not living unless you're able to go outside without 48503093 layers on.

Today I only had 1 layer on for bottoms, and 2 on for top. The most I've put on all winter is 3. I never wear wool/poly-p socks.

im from warren oleanders. (north)yesterday it must have been like 70 or so but i hate it warm.

Hmmm. I always thought NJ was cooler than that. I guess it is farther south than I thought (now that I looked at a map). And I suppose the ocean helps bit too huh?

It depends on what part of New Jersey you're in. For the most part, though, the temperature varies greatly depending on the seasons. In July, it can get into the 90s and even some days up to 100. In December-February, it's anywhere between 10-30 on a normal day, warmer or colder rarely.

I'm right by Warren, and it definetely wasn't that warm yesterday. But then again, I'm a warm weather person.

Wow, lablondie, you need to come south for a year or so. <g> If you can start your car without the gas line freezing up!</g>

I don't like it down south. I seriously can't stand hot temperatures. It's tank top weather at 50-60 degrees.

And you can't complain when someone unplugs the buses in the middle of the night. It's a great way to cancel school for the first 2 hours.

I live in fl and it was about 82 today.

i dont want to sound like I am complaining, and I know about 5,000,000 tourists come hear a year for our weather (alot for a country of 300,000) but man I hate the heat.

From March/April - November its like summer in the Bahamas. To make it worse, is that AC is expensive (everything here costs maybe 1.5 - 2x the US price), electricity is expensive, and we have the most unreliable power company on this side of the milky way.

I and many rejoice when December comes cuz that means at least temperatures will go into the high 60s, low 70s.

See, it would not be bad if everyone had airconditioning, but everyone doesnt, and imagine waking up 3 in the morning dripping with sweat cuz the fan turned off as a result of a power outage.

(I probably will still get blasted about complaining)

bahamasc, if I were you, I'd complain too.

I would too. All the tourists come for a week or so, then go back to their nicely air conditioned homes in Illinois and Joisey!
