Does anyone know anything about this place?

Webb? Yeah, Webb is back near the Lyon's Center (gym) and Cafe 84 (food). It's not the most social place, and it's not very conveinent if you have general freshman classes. It's not terrible though.

I know someone who lives in Webb. The room she's in is a one-bedroom, two-person apartment with a living room, bathroom and a tiny kitchen, but 4 closets... and the bedroom's about one-and-a-half times bigger than the rooms at New and North. Because of the apartment-like set-up, Webb is very popular with sophomores and older ... and it's rare to find a freshman there, especially because upperclassmen get first choice. If you're coming in as a freshman and/or want to meet lots of other people, you're better off in a regular dorm where you have to share the bathrooms ... which may not be as nice, but you do get the social aspect of people being in the halls all the time.

hey,

I am sophomore , the one i got is a studio with a roommate. Well i really dont care about social life as much as i want it to be quite . is it far away from the main campus?? is there an RA or smthg like that??? or its just an apartment thing??
sorry for these questions , but i am kind of nervous !!!
thank anyway :)

There are RA's in all campus housing, so yes you will have an RA. It probably will be quiet...unless you get the rainbow floor (the gay/lesbian/transgender floor that is in Webb.) It is close to Cafe 84 (arguably the best campus food), the USC Credit Union, the Lyon's Center and Swimming Pool, and diagnolly across Jefferson from Bank of America/Subway.

Compared to other on-campus housing options it is further away from the buildings that classes are held in. But it's not really far off campus or anything. You will still be closer than most SC students that live in off-campus housing. You have to understand that total, SC's campus (not including the Health Science campus) is like 5 city blocks by 5 city blocks. So nowhere is really THAT far from anywhere else.

If you don't care so much about social life than Webb is perfect for you. Not only are you above Cafe 84, Jamba Juice, and Starbucks you are also next to the Lyon Center (gym). It'll take you about 5 minutes (walking) to get to your classes. USC is tiny compared to UCSB, so I'm sure you'll be surprised how close your apartment is in respect to your classes.

You are VERY fortunate to have on-campus housing!!

Hey guys , thank you for the info, it really helped. however i was reassigned to flour tower and i accepted it., I am sorry if i asked so many questions, but can u guys tell me anything about this place???
how many people share a bathroom ??
Thank you people again for all the info :)

8 people share a bathroom at Fluor. FYI Fluor is right next to Webb and probably one of the most social dorms on campus with most all freshman just so you know what you're getting yourself into.

josifie,

I got a single room in the quiet community program ... will it be very noisy ??? do u have any idea how the single rooms are ?? or about the quiet community program??
thank you ,

webb and flour are totally different. ESPECIALLY if you are in the quiet community program, it will be quiet.

I agree. If you're on a quiet floor no need to worry. Nice thing is, if you're in the mood for it being not so quiet from time to time, you're just a floor away.

thats good, i am soo excited for usc :) !!
