Hi im currently attending csulb and im a sophomore.
This is my first time applying to calgrant so im required to submit a GPA verification form.
I asked the financial office about it and they said they electronically submit it to csac so dont worry about it.

WELL? Today is march 1st and tomorrow is the deadline and on webgrants it still shows as "gpa verification not received"!!
Im so anxious right now because i might not be able to receive cal grant! Which i worked so hard on.(including filling out fafsa)

Did my school financial office(csulb) screw this up and not submit the gpa properly?

Help!!!

I would go to your school’s financial aid office tomorrow and politely insist they resubmit it. Last year, my son’s school uploaded all the GPA verifications automatically but my son’s never showed up. I kept watching and waiting and finally, I went in to the school and they checked the electronic transcript and his name wasn’t on it for some reason. They told me several times that it had been previously done but it never showed up on his CalGrant page. I called Calgrant and they insisted that it hadn’t been received even though the school kept telling me they sent it.

His school was able to upload just his, only took them about one minute, and they called to make sure it went through. I watched the website and it showed up almost instantly on his Calgrant page. Mistakes happen and tomorrow is the last day so you have to go.

If by some chance, they say they can’t or won’t do the electronic upload, you can get a paper copy and mail it in. It must be postmarked, not received by tomorrow, see below. A paper copy is not optimal because it takes a lot longer to process but it’s better than nothing! You can download the form yourself and take it into the office. It’s here: http://www.csac.ca.gov/pubs/forms/grnt_frm/gpaform.pdf
If you have no confidence in the finaid office, I might just do both and have all the bases covered because there is a lot of money at stake, almost $5K for a CSU.

*Due to March 2, 2014 falling on a Sunday, the deadline is extended to the following Monday, March 3, 2014. The paper GPA Verification form must be postmarked no later than March 3, 2014. Please allow approximately 6-8 weeks for a paper GPA verification form to be processed.
