Hi, there is a website called MyChance.net which, after you input your stats and other various things, actually calculates the percent chance that you will be admitted.
I realize this is another website but i think it will be really helpful to ppl on here, but it uses an algorithm based on previous accepted to students. Just google it and it should come up.

My percents:

Brown 91%
Cornell 74%
Duke 66%
Harvard 49.9%
MIT 41.5%
Penn 86%
Yale 48%

I realize this maybe dubious, particular since it outputs percents sorely based on numbers, but this is a MUCH better resource for knowing your chances than by asking random ppl on the internet. So check it out ( i am in no way affliated, but i appreciated and i think other will too)

This site is ridiculous. All i did was increase my SAT I score by 20 points in CR and writing section and one of my SAT II's by 20 points and my chances at princeton shot up from 45% to 97%

It is by far not full proof, or very accurate in a reality sense, but i think it would be better than posting stats and having just some person tell you your chances, bc at least it is somewhat numbers based.

No one, excluding millionaire legacies, sports stars, and celebrity applicants, has anything above a 50-60% chance at HYPSM, neither does anyone have above a 70% chance at any of the other Ivies. This site is just preying on college mania with a few meaningless numbers, I really hope CCer's don't take this very seriously.

You have to do the profile and then go to my college tracker. Simpson i realize that the percents are pretty well bogus, but i mean for alot of ppl it is a better alternative than making random posts.

Ehh it didn't really do much for me. Schools these days are now taking a more wholistic approach to accepting students than just looking at gpa and scores. However, for larger schools like Brown and Yale, it might help.

Yeah, I definitely think it could be a bit more mind-opening than a CC thread, and they probably provide a reasonably sound judgement based on numbers, but I hope people don't see this as do or die. I am pretty impressed, however, at the sophistication, and I'm glad they have the results profiles, which often have a few 'reach applicants' sprinkled in with the accepted students to give some of us hope!

Results profiles? You mean the scattergrams? And we all know how hard it is to chance ivies. If you look in the blog the maker of the site admits it's imperfect especially for the very upper echelon.
